As Christmas draws closer, I am sure many of you are consumed with the usual end of year chaos and busy period. Therefore, I hope to take only a few minutes of your well-earned coffee break to update you on the happenings in BCS in our monthly community volunteers newsletter.
From a new Instagram account to our winter events and welcoming our new volunteers – December certainly gives us BCS members a lot to look forward to. Given the current situation, we’d also really appreciate your honest opinions in our survey below on Covid-19 and a return to physical events at the BCS London office.
Our BCS community, and wider society, has been living under restrictions for some time now. However, we are excited to report a glimmer of normality, in that our BCS London offices are open for your in-person and hybrid (a mixture of virtual and in-person attendance) events. We have AV resources and support, a members working space (with excellent free hot drinks), and bookable rooms.
We want to know how you feel about hosting in-person / hybrid events, and how our BCS staff team can support your groups over the coming months.

Our New Instagram Account
We have a new Instagram account where we'll be posting topics around your professional IT career and the biggest issues in technology today. Give our IG a follow and keep up to date on all things BCS
As part of the community contribution to membership growth, we are setting committees the target of attaining 100 new members. To date, you have attracted 20 new members via your discount codes, of which BCS London North Branch welcomed 10.
