Something many of you will relate to at this time of year is a sense of “wrapping up” both the year and festive presents. This gives us a chance to look back on our triumphs over 2021. Together as BCS volunteers, we have become master webinar hosts, and professionals who can uphold standards and tackle the vast sea of ethical issues as we enter new times in the digital and IT space.

In the New Year, I look forward to seeing some of you in-person and virtually. I’m equally excited to see our new online BCS Community start being used for passionate and engaging discussion topics between members. I will also see you all at the Winter Convention 2022, where we will find out how the new membership strategy is going to make a hugely positive impact on member groups.

Volunteering Opportunities

Community Support Chair

The Community Support Committee (the CSC), which reports to the Community Board, is recruiting a Chair. Submit a CV and covering letter, with previous BCS volunteering roles.

Become a FEDIP Assessor

More Health and Care professionals are recognising their competency with the FEDIP standard. BCS need volunteers from the industry to become FEDIP assessors. Full training is provided.

BCS Council Nominees

Eligible candidates' statements are now live for your group’s consideration before the Member Groups vote in February. We will announce the results at BCS AGM on Wednesday 16 March.

Health & Care Executive

Do you work in health and care informatics or digital health? 

The Health & Care Executive are actively recruiting for 2 roles; an Equality & Diversity Lead and a Treasurer position.
